३८औं राष्ट्रिय शिक्षा दिवस, २०७४ तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय साक्षारता दिवस, २०१७ का अवसरमा आज मिति २०७४ साल भदौ २३ गते शुक्रबारका दिन राष्ट्रपति भवन, शीतलनिवासमा आयोजित एक विशेष समारोहमा सम्माननीय राष्ट्रपति  श्रीमती विद्यादेवी भण्डारीज्यूबाट  स्वदेशी तथा विदेशी शिक्षण संस्थाबाट विभिन्न उपाधि हासिल गरेका नेपाली छात्रछात्राहरुलाई नेपाल विद्याभूषण पदक ‘क’ श्रेणी एवम् प्रमाणपत्र  प्रदान भयो । उक्त अवसरमा प्राध्यापक डाक्टर विजय लाल प्रधानले नेपाल विद्याभूषण पदक ‘क’ श्रेणी एवम् प्रमाणपत्र प्राप्त गर्नु भयो । डाक्टर विजय लाल प्रधानले  प्यासिफिक बिस्वबिध्यालय बाट तथ्यांक शास्त्र विषयमा बिद्याबरिधि गर्नु भएको थियो ।

38th National Education Day and 51th International Literacy Day 2017 were observed by organizing various programmes in Nepal. Early this morning at the president residence Sital Niwas, Kathmandu, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari conferred Nepal Bidhya Bhusan Medal Class A on 215 students who received PhD degree from Various National and International Universities. Dr. Bijay Lal Pradhan was among the students who received medal on the National Education Day and International Literacy Day 2017 Organized by Government of Nepal.

Dr. Pradhan has completed his Ph.D. degree from Pacific University, Udaipur India, Under the fellowship of University Grant Commission (UGC) Nepal. His research topic was “Total Quality Management Implementation and Impact in selected Manufacturing industries of Nepal”.

Publication of books for the benefit of students, research scholars and practitioner of various field has become his passion, His publication includes various fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Production and Operation Management, Research Methodology and Quality Management. Mr. Pradhan has been working as faculty since 1998 in various reputed institutions and currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Tribhuvan University. He has been delivering guest lecturer and experts talks at various institutions in Nepal and India. He served at various capacities, member of subject committee of Management Science in Tribhuvan University. Along with action oriented research he also carried out various consultancy projects for the benefit of industry and academia.

Mr. Bijay Lal Pradhan has participated and presented various research papers in different National and international conferences. He has published his research paper in 4 international Journals and 12 national Journals.

He is also associated with different professional bodies and social organizations serving at various capacities for the benefit of the society. He is coordinator of LCIF  at Lions clubs international District 325 B2. He is executive member of Operational research society of Nepal and member of Network for Quality Productivity and Competitiveness Nepal.
